Raekwon Only Built For Cuban Linx Double LP Vinyl NEW
RAEKWON Only Built 4 Cuban Linx... (2016 UK/EU limited edition 17-track double album 2-LP pressed on 180-gram audiophile black vinyl. One of the defining works of 90s hip-hop Only Built 4 Cuban Linx… captured Raekwon and the Wu-Tang Clan at a creative high point forging a cinematic approach to storytelling that reshaped the genre. Produced entirely by RZA and featuring a commanding co-starring role from Ghostface Killah the album introduced a sophisticated narrative style steeped in underworld imagery and ensemble interplay. Its influence on the emerging mafioso-rap movement is difficult to overstate. Beyond its reputation the record remains remarkable for its scope: the cold precision of Criminology the stark introspection of Heaven & Hell the razor-edged chemistry on Guillotine (Swordz) and the landmark collaboration Verbal Intercourse which features Nas in one of the most celebrated guest verses of the era. With appearances from every Wu-Tang member the album plays almost like an alternate-universe Clan record sharpened by Raekwons narrative clarity and RZAs stripped atmospheric production.
