Ener-J 5W Plug & Play Emergency Battery Kit is the fast, reliable, and cost-effective solution for converting any compatible standard LED panel into a fully compliant emergency lighting fitting — without the need for complex installation, costly rewiring, or specialist contractors.Designed to work with LED luminaires fitted with separate DC LED drivers and compatible with LED panels from 6W to 70W — including the complete range of Ener-J LED panels — this universal emergency module simply plugs in to deliver an immediate upgrade to your existing lighting infrastructure. Upon mains failure, the kit activates automatically, providing three full hours of maintained emergency illumination that meets the minimum duration requirements set out under UK emergency lighting standards BS EN 1838 and BS 5266.At the heart of this kit is a high-performance internal Lithium-Ion battery — a significant advancement over older NiCd technology. The Li-Ion cell supports frequent partial discharge cycles without any reduction in capacity, extending battery lifespan and reducing long-term maintenance costs. A comprehensive battery management system provides protection against over-charging, over-current, short circuits, and deep discharge, ensuring safe, reliable operation throughout the product's working life. The integrated green charging status LED makes routine inspection and compliance testing quick and simple — a vital feature for facilities managers and building compliance teams.Suitable for both maintained and non-maintained emergency lighting systems, this module is the ideal choice for offices, schools, retail environments, care homes, warehouses, hospitality venues, and any commercial or public access building where emergency lighting is a legal requirement.
