EASY TO GROW - White Lisbon is your traditional spring onion, a firm favourite for UK growers. This quick and easy to grow variety is ideal for growing in small gardens and containers where they produce an abundance of hardy long white stems with bright green tops.GROWING CONDITIONS - Spring onion sets are a great starter vegetable to grow, ideal for growing with children. As they have already started to grow and mature and are no longer a seed they are ready for planting now. Place in a sunny open position about 10 - 15 cm apart in well draining soil enriched with manure or garden compost. Water well before planting and during any drier weather.GROWING TIPS - This variety is fast growing and ready for Autumn planting now. Spring onions make a great filler in between slow growing veg like potatoes, beans or peas. Growers also use Spring onions as row markers to help mark where other crops have grown as they germinate quickly in little space. HARVEST TIME - Pull onions as required up to the Winter, they genearally take 5-8 weeks to mature. Best picked when they are still young and tender. White Lisbon spring onions have a delicious, aromatic mild flavour, making them perfect for stir fries, curries, soups and noodle dishes. Refunds
