The integrated digital display is mounted in-line with the direction of travel on a hardened and ground stainless steel scale beam - providing reliable linear position readout for machine tool measurement, fixture gauging, and engineering inspection across a large 400mm working range. Hardened and Ground Stainless Steel Beam | 400mm / 16-Inch Travel – The MS-270-400 is built on a precision hardened and ground stainless steel scale beam. The display unit travels in-line with the measurement axis. Rear carriage mounting points enable installation to measuring machines, inspection fixtures, jigs, and production line gauging systems requiring a battery-powered digital linear encoder readout across an extended 400mm working range at low cost and high repeatability. Refunds
