Pink Floyd - Animals - Remastered - NEW CD (sealed) 2025 Sony
PINK FLOYD Animals (2025 UK/EU 5-track CD album. The tenth studio album by Pink Floyd, Animals was originally released in January 1977. Recorded at the band's Britannia Row Studios in London throughout 1976 and early 1977, it was produced by the band themselves. A striking conceptual work, Animals takes aim at the social and political tensions of mid-1970s Britain, drawing inspiration from George Orwell's Animal Farm to critique class divisions and moral decay. Developed from acollection of earlier song ideas, the album evolved into a cohesive concept - an allegory depicting society through "dogs," "pigs," and "sheep." Musically, it marked a darker, more aggressive turn for the band, driven by extended compositions and searing guitar work from David Gilmour. Presented in a fold-out picture sleeve.
