Out Of Time
REM Out Of Time (2016 UK/EU 11-track black vinyl LP, the first 180-gram vinyl reissue since its original 1991 release, remastered from the original analogue tapes, restoring the warmth and dynamic detail of R.E.M.'s landmark seventh studio album. A pivotal release in the band's career, it elevated them from cult favourites to global chart-toppers, hitting No.1 in both the U.S. and U.K. Winner of three 1992 Grammy Awards - including Best Alternative Music Album - the record features the chart-dominant "Losing My Religion" alongside the joyous "Shiny Happy People" and a richly varied tracklist of melodic rock and atmospheric ballads. Critics have hailed Out Of Time as one of R.E.M.'s defining statements: Rolling Stone called them "America's best rock & roll band," Pitchfork described it as "arguably their most important record," and Time placed it among their All-Time 100 Albums for its "ethereal beauty rarely heard on a rock record."
