METALLICA Master Of Puppets (US limited edition 8-track LP remastered and pressed on 180-gram black vinyl. The #1 Greatest Heavy Metal Album Of All Time Master Of Puppets is eight tracks of surgical aggression that turned Metallica into the biggest metal band on the planet. Battery opens with a deceptively pretty acoustic intro before it detonates into full-throttle thrash. The title track is an eight-and-a-half-minute gut-punch about addiction and control that remains to this day the most-requested song Metallica has ever played live. And Orion Cliff Burtons instrumental masterpiece is proof that a bass guitar can hit as hard as any riff in metal built almost entirely by Burton himself who played the albums most iconic harmonies on bass before Hammett and Hetfield ever picked up a guitar to learn them. This was the last record Burton made before his death and you can hear him fighting for every second of it. Its the blueprint every heavy band since has been chasing.
