TAYLOR SWIFT Red (Original Version) (2024 US/MX limited edition 16-track double album 2-LP pressed on classic black vinyl. Originally released in 2012 Red began at a rehearsal on Swifts Speak Now tour when she started ad-libbingheartsick lyrics over a four-chord riff and her touring band spontaneously joined in behind her. Swift has since called it her splatter-paint album her own only true breakup record and described the writing process as using all the colorsand throwing it at the wall and seeing what sticks. The album marked a deliberate widening of her circle bringing in Max Martin and Shellback to co-write and produce I Knew You Were Trouble 22 and We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together alongside Dan Wilson on Treacherous Gary Lightbody on The Last Time and Ed Sheeran as a guest vocalist on Everything Has Changed. It went on to become Swifts third US number one album selling over 8 million copies worldwide and is ranked number 99 on Rolling Stones 500 Greatest Albums of All Time ahead of records including Springsteens Born in the U.S.A. three Led Zeppelin albums and Princes 1999.
