Amy Winehouse Girls Black/Light Frank - 180 Gram 2019 Uk Vinyl Lp
AMY WINEHOUSE Frank (UK/EU limited edition 13-track LP pressed on 180-gram black vinyl. Frank is Amy Winehouse's critically acclaimed debut studio album, originally released in 2003 and quickly recognised as one of the most assured first statements of its era. Drawing together contemporary London soul, hip hop inflections, and classic jazz phrasing, the album introduced a singular voice with remarkable emotional precision and control. Produced primarily by Salaam Remi, Frank balances sharp lyrical observation with understated musical confidence. The Ivor Novello Award-winning "Stronger Than Me" sets the tone with wit and defiance, while tracks such as "Take the Box," "In My Bed," and "Fuck Me Pumps" reveal Winehouse's ability to blend vulnerability, humour, and confrontation without affectation. Her phrasing and melodic instincts nod to mid-century jazz vocalists, yet the record remains firmly rooted in its time. Often cited as one of the strongest British debut albums of the 2000s, Frank established Amy Winehouse as a fully formed artist from the outset, laying the groundwork for a career that would reshape modern soul and pop songwriting.
